The route focuses on neighbourhood kitchens and the food being served that day rather than a fixed list of famous restaurants. Koshari, taameya made with fava beans, freshly baked bread and sweet pastries are examples of the food scene explored by local programs. Your confirmed menu determines the actual selection and quantities, with the guide explaining ingredients, serving customs and the differences between dishes.
Between tastings, walk or use the transport included in your agreed plan and pause for a local drink if it is part of the menu. Allow around five hours for the existing outing, with the neighbourhood, meeting point and pace confirmed beforehand. This can be substantial eating across several stops, so ask whether the tasting quantities replace a meal.
