The experience
Spend a private day tracing the west coast’s changing shoreline, from mountain-backed coves at Fazayah to the broad beach and rock formations of Mughsail.
The road west gives you views of rugged hills and the Arabian Sea before the approach to Fazayah. Here, pale sand and rocky headlands create a series of coves rather than a city beach setting. Stop to walk, take photographs and enjoy the shoreline at the pace agreed with your guide. Beach access depends on the road and weather; swimming is not a promised part of the tour.
At Mughsail, visit the limestone viewing area near Marneef Cave and the blowholes. When waves push air and seawater through openings in the rock, spray can burst upwards; on calmer days, the attraction may be the sound, coastal formations and sea views. The sheltered cave overhang provides another perspective on the shore. Your guide adjusts the order of these west-coast stops around access and conditions, with bottled water and soft drinks during the journey and lunch at your own expense.
