An interior visit depends on visitor access and prayer times; the guide can arrange an exterior stop when entry is unavailable. Continue to Al Baleed, where archaeological remains beside the coast introduce the port’s place in the frankincense trade. The nearby Museum of the Frankincense Land adds historical and maritime context if museum admission is part of your agreed package.
At Haffa Souq, browse frankincense resin, incense burners, perfumes and local goods. Your guide can explain how the resin is used and help you distinguish the products on offer. The drive through coconut and banana-growing areas reveals a different side of Dhofar: palms, cultivated plots and roadside fruit stalls.
