The experience
Cross from the Red Sea coast to Luxor for an ambitious sightseeing day on both Nile banks, linking royal tombs, Hatshepsut’s temple and the monumental Karnak complex.
On the west bank, enter the Valley of the Kings under the ticket arrangements agreed for your booking and see the decoration in the tombs open to your admission. Continue to Hatshepsut’s terraced temple at Deir el-Bahari and pause by the Colossi of Memnon. Across the Nile, Karnak changes the scale again with immense gateways and columned spaces. A lunch stop fits between the visits according to the guide’s operating order.
Allow approximately fifteen to sixteen hours including the shared road journey from Hurghada. The standard route does not include Luxor Temple, a balloon flight or every royal tomb. Admission coverage must be itemised: special tombs such as Tutankhamun’s require explicit confirmation, and a lunch stop does not automatically establish an included meal. Optional Nile boat rides, drinks and collection outside the agreed area are separate. Expect considerable walking, steps and exposed ground as well as long vehicle sections.
